Who is Naomi Miguel?

Skeg T:ash! I am Naomi Miguel, a member of the Tohono O’odham Nation.
I am a small business owner, born and raised in Arizona. I grew up on the Tohono O'odham Nation reservation and went to Ocotillo Elementary. Tohono in the O'odham language means 'desert,' and that was my playground.

I moved away for college and have had amazing professional experiences, including serving as the former Executive Director of the White House Initiative for Native Americans and Tribal Colleges and Universities and as a former United States Congressional staffer with campaign and non-profit experience.
No matter where I worked, Tohono is always my home. Unfortunately, our home is now different - our deserts are getting hot, and our water is becoming scarce. We need leaders who understand rural and tribal communities. I know what it's like living in a community that is not always given a seat at the table. That's why I am running.
