Who is Naomi Miguel?

My name is Naomi Miguel, Ba’ag Nei’dam O’ks (Eagle Singing Woman), and I am running for Arizona State Representative for District 23. As a citizen of the Tohono O’odham Nation, I have lived on our land in Arizona for the majority of my life. I come from three generations of tribal leaders, including my grandfather, who was the Chairman of our tribe (Tohono O’odham Nation). I love walking in the desert when the sun goes down. I am deeply rooted in our tribal and rural community.
Like many of you, I have dealt with government systems that don’t know how to deal with tribal or rural citizens. I have been harassed by Border Patrol and denied basic services from the state government. Because I have professional experience in working in many levels of our government, I know I am the right person to fight against these wrongs. Your vote for me will make sure you have strong representation in the Arizona Legislature.
You get two votes; make one of them for me.
